So i'm really excited about today's chic style i totally crush. Inez is such a beautiful person both inside and out and i call her my blog sis. 


I remember when i first came across her blog 'stylechic360' i fell in love with her stylish look.  She's curvy, effortlessly chic and exudes confidence. Her blog is also so inspiring, she gives away stuff on her blog from time to time, she's also a member of the F.A.S.H Detriot etc please check out her blog.

What does style mean to you?


Style to me is a reflection of your individuality and personality displayed through your clothing.


Describe your style?


My style is evolving I am still figuring out what works best for me. My style is a mix of femininity, sophistication. I love to dress and have so much fun styling my outfits and critiquing my style.


Do you follow fashion trends?


I normally do not follow trends too often, but I’m not afraid to if I see something I like.


What are your must have fashion accessories?


My must haves includes jewelry, shoes and blazers, each can make or break a look.


Any other fashion advise for ladies?


Be yourself but don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and try new things. Learn what works for you, but also don’t be afraid to break the fashion rules.

Diamonds or Shoes - A girls bestfriend

Some say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but I'd say shoes too :–) and is it just me or you can never have enough :-) 


Anyone who cares about style knows that great shoes are essential: they will make, or break, an outfit. They also add mileage to your wardrobe, freshening up tired ensembles with jolts of excitement. (Not to mention how much they reveal about your personality!) 


Its been raining and i'm one of those who loves dressy shoes or really hawt flats... lol. Went around and found me some nice ones that would work for the rains too.


From Manolo Blahnik - Christian Louboutin - René Caovilla - Walter Steiger  and a whole group of new créateurs like Sultan Al Darmaki, Burak Uyan, Nathalie Elharrar of LaRare, Ruthie Davis and Charlotte Olympia.... the list is endless and the shoes are fabulous.



Truth be told, our closet never runneth over with shoes.... lol. What can I say? I love shoes!

Rocking the Star Print

Hello Loviesssss,


I know I'm blogging about this fashion trend a little late but i had to wait until i finished making my skirt so i could have pictures to put up. And trust me, between my day job & my sewing machine.....lol it took a while to have ready.


To be honest, when i saw the star print in Dolce & Gabbana's new collection i thought it might take a while to grow on me but almost immediately, a light bulb lit in my head and i remembered a fabric (Its called Hollandis- looks like the Ankara print) my mummy dearest gave me. 


There and then, i started thinking of how i could jazz the fabric up so it looks trendy. After all it has stars on it too :-) and everyone is so star obsessed. So i sat on my sewing machine and I'm totally happy and in love with my new skirt.


It might not be one of the D & G dresses :-) but its my mummy's fabric with a trendy twist. 


Out with the old, in with the new. What do you think? The buttons i sewed on, was a last minute addition...lol. Also i'm thinking of making the skirt shorter :-)

Architecture Vs Human Anatomy Inspired designs

Its so good to be back, I'm as fit as a fiddle now and my exams went very well. I have missed my blog life :-)


Now to today's post..... You know how you see some designs and you are left in awe of how creative the designer is but you really can't help but wonder how wearable some of the pieces are ???


While in london recently i came across some amazing pieces by a designer i'd never heard of - David Koma and i was blown away. 
He just graduated from Central Saint Martins last year–but I was immediately taken by his work. I love his architectural shapes and his ability to make strong, modern clothes without getting too crazy. 


I also came across pieces by a super talented fashion designer Yiqing Yin. Yiqing has been able to focus on creating some extraordinary pieces. Her obsessions seem to be evening dresses, couture and getting inspiration from the human anatomy. Not that she’s interested in science: instead, she reinterprets the body’s intricacy–the flex of muscles, sinews and tendons–in incredibly sexy ways, using ruching, draping and every other technique of the dressmaker’s art. And I loved it all! 


I also found a dress by Emanuel Ungaro and i totally loved the fabric..... 


While i realize the architectural shapes or human anatomy designs are not for every woman :-) i salute their creativity.

How have you been? Wanted to check in on you all, i've been ill for about a week, (btw I'm on a study leave/short holiday). Turns out i came here with malaria so studying has been difficult but I'm getting better. 


Thinking about my next two posts makes me excited and stronger....lol.  I'll be back to posting really really really soon :-)

Man Style i Heart - 1

I'm sure we all had a splendid weekend :-) 


I'm really excited about today's post because i've always wanted to feature this person...lol. It took a lot of psyching before he allowed me put up his pictures.


We have a couple of men with style we would love to feature so watch this space....... Trust me, these men have added extra to dapper......


Nothing excites me more than seeing a man who understands fashion & understands how the combination of well curated personal accessories can take a tailored look from stiff and corporate to playful and expressive. Nobody knows this better than my uncle dearest. My first 'Man Style i heart'....


He’s one of the best I’ve met at accessorizing a tailored look with creativity and self expression.


You don’t have to break the rules, but you can certainly bend them, at every opportunity… At some point you get to a place where stripes, checks and polka dots cross paths…and it doesn't look so bad.


Here, he shows us how to wear a tailored look with a punch of personality, easy casuals, shoes & accessories that speak in other tongues...lol
