No Title :-)

Hello My Loviesssss,

I am not even sure i know how to start apologizing for being away for the whole week. Hmm i don't know how it happened, but from battling my internet provider's poor service delivery to going on an official trip, i haven't had ONE minute to write here. Anyways i am so excited to be back to my blog world and i really missed you all.

So i was invited to the MTN Project Fame live opening show and it was really fun. Thanks to Ebele dearest, we got VVIP tickets.
Unfortunately, because it was a live show, we weren't allowed to take pictures but trust me to be gangster and take pictures of my boyfriend the Kurukere master Iyanya perform.  The audience went crazy immediately he came on stage and all their rules were very quickly forgotten. Even the judges all got up to dance and that was the highlight of the show for me because Iyanya is an Alumni of the Project fame academy and i can imagine how proud they felt. He actually won in season one.

Meanwhile i almost fainted from laughter at some of the recorded auditions. One guy actually came on stage, lay down on the floor with a pillow and then started singing Chris Brown's - Don't wake me up in a really terrible voice...LOL That has got to be one of the most hilarious/disturbing performances i've ever seen/heard. All in all, it was an amazing night and the top 14 contestants had absolutely breath taking voices.

Thanks for always reading.

xoxo.

SGD Series Ctd

Hello Loviessss,

Its way past midnight and i am wide awake watching Antiques Road Trip on BBC Lifestyle and blogging. I have tried reaching for my remote control several times so i can change the station to E! or TSN but for some strange reason, i am unable to reach it :-). Surely, no one expects me to move from this precious position on my bed where my laptop is placed on my pillow/my legs...hehehe.

My eyes just drifted to the tiles on my floor and i remembered i had a nice black really fluffy rug on it until a few days ago when i came back from work/prayer meeting and as i stepped into my apartment i felt water get up to my ankle; as always, i thought i was dreaming. I am sure right now you guys are wondering when my posts would be drama free...hahaha. I am wondering when myself...LOL.
I switched on the light in the living room and my whole apartment was flooded. I also noticed the extension boxes that were exposed on the floor had started sparking. I very quickly called Bashiru and Adamu the night guards to switch off the power from the source. I thought i left my tap running but again, i am too careful to do that; I normally double check taps, light switches, AC's, inverter and all a minimum of 3 times before leaving the apartment. After checking for the leak, we found out there was a burst pipe in the bathroom. Thankfully they were able to stop it from gushing out and then the major work started. We began scooping water out from the apartment and mopping for almost 2 hours. Omo mehnn you don't wanna know the River Niger/Thames we scooped out.
Anyways thats all past now, i have learnt not to worry too much when such things happen because it could have been worse. Imagine if it happened when i was away in Accra????? Hmm the story would have been different. Times like these make me appreciate God's love, covering and mercy over my life. I am indeed thankful He saved me once again.

Moving on to today's post jare; not going to allow the devil steal my SWAG...Neversssss.We would continue the 'Sure Guy Date Series' and my outfit  is a lovely water color/brush stroke print dress that i absolutely love. You can rock this look if he invites you for a function that involves meeting some of his work colleagues for the first time. It could be his boss's 50th birthday party or colleagues baby dedication in church. I also created some other looks you could rock.

Remember these are just style inspirations or a guide and you can alway jazz up any of these looks to suit your style or totally rock something different. *wink*

We have two or three more posts to go for the SGD series, thanks for always reading lovies.

xoxo.

Wednesday the 3rd/Sure Guy Date Series Ctd.

Hello Loviessss,

Hmmm, i don't even know where to start from, i just know i would not forget wednesday 3rd July in a hurry. I have heard of and even seen people rush to the airport and miss their flight but i just never thought that sort of thing could ever happen to me. Haba, I am too organized and plan way too much to fall a victim of running to catch a moving plane (Picture that..Hahaha).
I shut down early on tuesday, didn't stay at home and even slept with one eye open so i could make the airport early on Wednesday for my 7.30 am flight to Accra. I woke up at 5am, rushed a bath and was at the airport by 6:00 am, happy i had made it before 6.20 am when check in closed. I cat-walked into the terminal and quietly joined the Arik queue. Between standing, making calls and smiling/greeting some familiar faces, i didn't notice one chic had shunted and positioned herself in front of me. I ended the call and tapped her ever so softly and politely told her she just shunted the queue. She looked at me with her really really long false lashes and said "I was 'ere halready hand hi just went to buy Hem Tee Hen card" Translation - I was here already and i just went to buy MTN card - airtime. When i heard her accent, i didn't bother arguing, i just accepted my fate and thought to my self that we would all board this aircraft sha; H factor or not...LOL.

Outfit: Sunnies: Balmain, Top: H&M, Shorts: Tommy Hilfiger, Flats: Old, Neckpiece: Accessorize

Anyways, about 10mins later, H factor sisterhh sister went in through the barrier and i was about to go in with her when an Arik staff asked me to hold on and i smiled and waited patiently forming prim & proper. The next thing i knew o, one tall man wearing an Arik air blazer came and closed the barrier and said check in had closed. Ehnnnnnn check in has what!!!!!!. You've got to be kidding me, i thought he was joking because i figured the proper thing to do was to let the rest of us on the queue come in and close the counter after the last person.
I thought i was in a movie o, this guy was dead serious. He said "Check in has closed for Accra". I approached him and asked how that was even possible. I spoke all the english i knew, when it wasn't working, i tried to beg the Arik man, nothing worked. You know that moment when you try to make all the influential calls you can and for some strange reason, the network is terrible and calls aren't going through. I looked ahead and i saw H factor sister had checked in - Chei. While some people were screaming at the top of their voices, i asked when the next flight was, and they said 5pm but there were no seats so i had to go upstairs to their office to change my ticket time or date. Getting upstairs, i was told by the ticket officer that the flight for the next day too was fully booked (btw, the crowd to Accra daily is crazy) but that something would come up if 'i did them well'. When an available seat came up, I just told them to book me for the next day and i paid the official fee; i was too angry to 'do them well', i was even kind of close to tears. You won't understand the pain i felt unless you've gone through the same experience.
Just as i was leaving the terminal, my friend C called me and i told him what happened and he burst out laughing. I could have strangled him if he was anywhere near...LOL. After his call, i started calling Abdullahi the driver; his number rang through but i got no response. I had to call them at home and they said he left his phone charging so no one could reach him. Luckily he had a new sim and someone at home had the number and they finally got through to him. After waiting for almost 2 hours,  just when i was about to take a taxi, he called me "Aunty i dey the arrival side ma" I just told him to come to the departure wing because i didn't even have the strength to get upset. Could i have arrived from my trip in 1 hour ehnn Abdullahi?

Anyways i got home and later called Arik to confirm my seat for the next day. Thursday came and i got to the airport at 5.40 am. This time, no surprises, guarding my space on the queue with my life and no distracting phone calls. At exactly 6 am, an Arik staff came to me saying/whispering "Aunty do you want me to fast track you'? I was wondering fast track me how. He said i saw you yesterday, i don't want you to miss your flight again. Immediately i heard miss your flight again, i just followed him like a zombie, gave him my passport and he checked me in and did all the wahala. The next thing he said "you have to find me something o aunty". I looked at him again and he was truly an Arik staff. I was shocked beyond words. I looked in my purse and gave him 2k and he said "let me give you my number aunty. Anytime, just call me and i will check you in". Still confused about why Arik air full staff would openly request for a bribe. Men in black, LASTMA, everyone bribe. Which way Nigeria?

Back to the outfit post jare; between my very busy schedule, i took time out to take some pictures for the Boyfriend Date Series. Remember the mail i got about what to wear for different dates with 'sure guy'? If you missed it, check Here. You could wear this for an easy breezy afternoon out at the beach or a boat cruise/beach house do.
