Red Monday.

Hello My Loviesss,

How are you doing today? Weekend fabulous? The rain in Lagos has been something else. If you see the road to my house ehn; i pity my car. Every time i drive through the flood (gets above my plate number), i plead the blood of Jesus because Lord knows i don't have one naira to repair any car right now...lol.

That road needs deliverance because its has two extremes. When dry, its really sandy and if you don't have an SUV, you are on your own cos tyres get stuck and when it rains, hmm; but i sort of prefer the rain. Meanwhile they started tarring the road and we were all so excited only for them to stop half way and haven't continued in 6 months.

Anyways, on to some good news... i am planning my first blog giveaway....yipeeee. I am so excited. I have always wanted to do one but truth be told, i don't really know how to go about it. Some bloggers ask you to like their page on Facebook, Instagram, twitter for a chance to win. The problem is stylefash isn't really into all that.  So i am still cracking my brain on how to go about it. Anyways watch this space.

So i am also very excited about my next post, its also a giveaway sort of :-B

Well, i don't have color restrictions at work so i am having a red monday and a pop of blue.
I wanted something bright and chic and remembered I have an informal business dinner with a few friends after work and i thought this look would work perfectly. What do you think?

If you would love to rock this look and tone it down slightly, i would suggest a lovely Navy Blue blazer.
Top: Annie Klein, Skirt: Oasis, Shoes: Ralph Lauren, Bag: D&G

Thanks for always reading lovies. Have a blessed and fabulous week.

xoxo.

Dotsy Dotsy

Hello Loviessss,

How are you doing? Hope you had a fabulous weekend? Mine was alright, rested a bit, watched BBC lifestyle and travel till my eyes popped. Sometimes i really wish i had one of those jobs where all i have to do is travel to exotic locations and do reviews of the hotels, fun spots etc I wish....lol.

Hope you watched our dear Super Eagles do their thing? They definitely turned things up this time, not like the scattered game they played against Iran. I am predicting a Nigeria Vs Brazil final in this world cup... Somebody say Amen!!! At least for the sake of the number of Nigerians that went for this world cup, we must get to the finals ooo...lol.

Thanks for all your comments and encouraging words my lovies. I really appreciate every single person who reads my blog and takes out time to comment. I'm getting my groove back gradually.

Oh, i met a really nice stylefash reader at ebeano in lekki and  she stopped me and told me she reads my blog but never comments. Thanks lovie, i truly appreciate you, i didn't get your name though.

Anyways, on to today's post, so i wore this outfit to work on friday, and wanted something i could easily switch from work mode to office drinks after work. I had completely forgotten about this top; thanks to the spring cleaning i found it.  I wore the red peep toes for this post and after work, but i wore the green pointy's for the day cos i had a very busy one and needed to be comfortable.

Tired me after the cray cray day at work. We just set up a really nice sales office at my office site, so i went there for a meeting and also to see if everything was done to perfection.

Thanks for always reading lovies. Have a fabulous and blessed week ahead.

xoxo.

Love Affair with My Funky Iro & Buba

Hello My Loviessss,

How are you all doing? I hope you all had a good two weeks in the blogsphere while i was away? I have a small confession to make and i know some people can totally relate to what i am about to say.

So this blogging thing wasn't forced on me o, i don't know why lately it been like a lot of work to blog. Anyone who truly knows me would tell you i am an all or none kind of person. If i am unable to do or continue anything, i very quickly speak up so i do not disappoint anyone.

You know how i thought the only problem i had with my lack of blog buzz was not going out enough? Ermmmm, well it turns out its a lot more than that. I recently did an evaluation of what the other issues could be and came up with my list below: (Me and my lists...lol)

- Work pressure (normal, what else is new)
- Fear of being boring with my outfits because trust me, i find some very popular blogger styles boring. It feels like same, same all the time.(True fear)
- Still trying to venture out of my comfort zone with my style. ( I am a true chic-classy-subtly sexy kind of girl).
- Currently doing some serious spring cleaning in my closet and giving out 80% of what i own. (That would automatically live me with just 20% and would force me to be more creative).
- Bored with my shoes (Problem of a tall big feet girl)
- Haven't shopped in a really longggggggggggggggg time so i am bored with my clothes
- Unexciting photo locations. (My office or my house)
- Still a struggle to get who to take pictures.

So my dear loviessss, these are some of what stylefash the blogger struggles with.

Anyways, since i know my dear readers can sense when i am slightly off or not feeling the whole blog thing, i decided to take some timeout last week. I wouldn't honestly say i am really back, but i almost there. So please bear with me my lovies if you refresh this page and don't find regular updates. But i would try my best.

On to todays post, Lord knows that my love affair with the iro & buba didn't just start but the trendy silk and chiffon fabrics has definitely made the love affair stronger...lol.

Oh, i must mention that i don't really like the knot trend; i think i have tried it once, it looked really nice on me but i still prefer the normal wrapper tying way.

I am so comfortable in them and can wear them almost every weekend. I have even lost count of how many i own.

Apart from making the Iro & Buba, my favorite part is actually picking out the fabrics. It gives me fabrigasm...lol.
I am so in love with this houndstooth print fabric. Might make something else with this one.
I have also caught the guipure bug and i got a few recently and can not wait to make. These wouldn't be for Iro & Buba. I plan to make a lovely dress, a nice top & skirt with the champagne & black one. Haven't quite figured out what style to make for the coral one. Any Ideas?
Funnily enough, i think i choose fabrics like my mummy dearest because i still have some of the ones she left and i see my own daughter wearing some of these guipure fabrics in future.

Thanks for always reading lovies and understanding when i have my blog mood swings.

Have an amazing week ahead.

xoxo.

Tiger House

Hello Loviessss,

Happy new month and happy new week; can you believe, its already June...hmm. Its already the second half of the year; I am so thankful for all God has done from January to today to all the marvelous things He is yet to do. I wish you all God's blessings, favor, fulfillment and protection in this second half of the year.

So i realized i hadn't blogged about my casual outfits in a while so i made sure i took pictures of what i wore to work on friday.
When i wore this top, my thoughts went back to secondary school and inter-house sports; i'm sure you all remember those days, timeout from classes, preparation and sports practice etc. There was Octopus, Flying Horse, Tiger and Dragon House. For some strange reason, all the great athletes were in Tiger house because they always won the inter-house sports while Dragon house always came in last...lol. Fly Horse (My House) on the other hand always came in second or third. Anyways this top sort of reminded me of the Tiger House Flag they held high during their march pasts.

Well I decided to pair the tiger top with my aqua denim and tan bag for some contrast. Most times, when i shop, i try to pick tops i can dress up or down. I'll definitely be rocking this top with my work pants or pencil skirts soon.

Remember my post about trying to do more fun things? Well my dear friend PJ dearest of the service critic invited me out to review a new Italian restaurant called BASILICO on Musa Yaradua V/I. Oh well i am not an expert in reviewing restaurants; so for all the juicy details and more pictures, please visit her blog.
As for me, i just know i had so much fun and had a lovely time bonding with my dear friend. But overall, i'll score the restaurant an 8/10.
Trust me, its hard to go wrong with a nice glass of wine, good food and a true friend to just chat with.

Assorted starters, the basilico style with Ham, cheese, green peppers in chicken salad
Ravioli with Shrimp and Basil Sauce
Saffron Rice served withVale beef (I think)

Anyways my lovies, i woke up quite early today because i went to the gym (somebody clap for me; i am back to my workout routine) so i need to go get ready for work now. Catch you guys later and thanks for always reading.

xoxo.
