My Lagos People 1

Hello My Loviesssss,

How have you all been? This would definitely be one post with the most pictures i think i've ever had on my blog.

So the past one week has been very eventful. I came up with a very interesting idea at work for us to have an exhibition at the on going Lagos Polo Tournament. I had no idea what i was getting myself into. I had no idea i was going to do the planning from start to finish. I thought it would be an opportunity to get away from the office, meet people, enjoy the tournament, take lovely pictures while achieving our ultimate goal of giving the company some more exposure, better brand perception and introducing our services to potential clients.

The tournament started on wednesday the 19th and trust my office to go the lastminute.com way. Everything from paying for the booth, to getting the prototype into the venue, logistics etc was all done at the last minute. May God deliver us...LOL.

Anyways the first and second days were just alright, with quite a number of people at the event but by friday to sunday, the event took a whole new turn.
More people showed up and the fashionsta's appeared. It was quite difficult working and taking pictures but i tried... Anything for you my lovies :-) The weather was so hot, i had to re-evaluate my life and i know i must make Heaven sha...LOL.

One thing i noticed however at the Lagos Polo tournament was all kinds of styles and trends were on display. It was completely different from the regular sophisticated look, summer dresses, hats, khaki's etc you have at the polo/horse riding events in London. I saw a lot, from people dressed in micro-mini sequin club appropriate dresses, to people in lovely summer dresses and hats.

One fashion trend that was fully on display were jumpsuits & playsuits. I photographed quite a number of people who wore them.

Meanwhile, side gist, Lagosians can POSE sha...Ahn ahn. There was this really handsome guy i met, i was busy admiring his shoes when he walked up to our booth. When he opened his mouth to speak, he was just so shallow. No depth whatsoever. I wouldn't bore you with what made me draw that conclusion but trust me, there should be a law against acting like you are the 8th wonder of the world or God's gift to mankind and at the same time be that shallow...naaa. its just so wrong...LOL.

Let me pause my gist here, because the tournament continues on wednesday and runs through sunday for the grand finale. I shall come back with more pictures and gist.

Thanks for stopping by and always reading my lovies.

xoxo.

Girl on a Mission

Hey Loviessss,

How have you all been? I know i promised to blog more this year and i'll do all i can to keep at it. Please join me in binding every spirit of work stress, deadlines, poor internet connection, Lagos traffic, bloggers brain block and lack of baffs nice clothes...LOL.

Anyways, my younger sister is back home from Uni in England and the girl is just a pain. Her gist would have to be a whole post :-)

So a few things happened to me last week and honestly i was just upset. My younger sister has a phobia for being idle (which is actually a good thing) and i know how irritable she gets when that happens so i started trying to get her job interviews even before she arrived. She had one in an Oil & Gas company two days after she got in and for some reason her phone was unreachable. So they kept calling my phone, and that day was one busy day. In the process of running from one floor to another at work, i tripped on the stairs and broke the heel of my Blue moschino PVC shoes...arrrggghhhh. I was so upset, i actually cried. I wondered why bad things happen to good people Anyways, i had to rush home, changed my shoes and came back to work. The shoes have since been buried :-(
My big sis said i shouldn't worry much because even the most expensive shoes have been known to behave that way and I know that some where in my head, i began to question the quality of the brand because those shoes cost me just a little less than 150 euros so you can imagine my pain.

Then another terrible thing happened to me, i woke up on monday morning and realized i had lost my bum, yes you heard me, my bum, my Caro; one of my assets. Not even funny. I haven't worked out in a month, i hate diets, i am not any so i don't know what happened? I don't know :-(

Anyways i am on a mission to get my bum back out. Any Ideas pls!!!!!! Help a sister...BBM straight face. LOL.

Thanks for always reading lovies.

Ps. So this top i'm rocking was a gift from my annoying younger sister :-)
xoxo.

Funky Iro & Buba.

Hello Loviesss,

Happy New Month. I pray this month brings loads of blessings & favor to you and your families in Jesus name.
How was your weekend? I had a very busy but fun weekend. Went out with friends and colleagues on friday for the usual end of the month TGIF. You know how Lagos is on the last friday of the month. Salaries have just been paid and some people just love to show themselves...lol.

Anyways i attended a really nice wedding on saturday and it was so much fun. When Banky W sang "Aint no party like a Lagos party" he knew what he was saying. Unfortunately i didn't go with my camera so i couldn't take pictures and i have vowed not to put you through last years ordeal of not so clear pictures.

Back to the wedding gist, it was really nice small and classy. The bride and groom looked absolutely lovely. I saw an old friend who was one of the grooms men and mehnnnnnn can that guy partyyyyyy. He danced so much, you'd have thought it was the bachelors eve and not the wedding proper. I threatened to take his pictures and send to all his colleagues and those who report to him...LOL. Someone needs to show him a playback of what he did...LOL.

So i was going to wear a nice dress for this wedding but changed my mind at the last minute because i planned to have fun and dance really well. I decided to wear one of my funky Iro & Buba in Tie dye printed silk and tie the wrapper the normal way and not the knotted wrapper trend; not because i don't like the trend, but it's just seems to be everywhere i turn.

Anyways, i decided to add a pop of color with my orange T-strap shoes. Overall, i felt really comfortable and i was able to dance as much as i wanted without any restrictions i would have had if i had worn the dress.

What do you guys think of the Silk & Chiffon Iro & Buba Trend? Do You Like?

Thanks for always reading lovies.

xoxo.
