Singing...StyleFash Peperempeee, Sugar, Sugar... Wedding Satee-day

Hello Loviesssss,

This is my first wedding post and you see ehnn we've been planning this wedding for my dear & sweet aburo ( yoruba term used to describe a younger one, biological or non-biological) for the past 8 months and all glory to God the wedding was very colorful, successful & almost a carnival i must say.
I am a yoruba girl, and where i come from when it comes to parties, we rock like there's no tomorrow.

Of course there was aso-ebi  & the colors of the day were Teal & Magenta; i knew i didn't want to wear the full iro & buba so i opted for the velvet trend but i decided that instead of a velvet wrapper, i would make my top velvet & my wrapper lace.  Anyways my dear friend Yemi - MissyBliss makeovers & I wore similar outfits and i think we looked really nice.

So my aburo and her mum were drama queens all through...hahaha, i cannot even begin to tell you about all the yelling/mother & daughter quarrels they had...LOL. From mummy yelling about the elevators in Four Points Sheraton (where we all dressed up from) being slow to literarily chasing the bride and the photographer out cos we were running late for the church service to my dear bride getting really upset because we forgot the bible the pastors were supposed to bless them with...LOL (Priceless mother & daughter moments) but all in all, it went very well. I am yet to meet any bride that would just chill on her day, no worries, hassles or anything. I guess thats almost impossible, considering how Nigerian weddings are.

Oh i forgot to mention, the bride is part Delta so she had to wear the South - South style

Anyways, off we headed to RCCG Olive Tree Parish Banana Island Ikoyi for the solemnization & then went straight to the beautifully decorated Landmark Event Place in Victoria Island for the reception. OMG, we had well over 1,200 guests; I knew this was one wedding i wouldn't get to sit because i had to coordinate things with the wedding planner so i hand my flats slippers with me and after all the paparazzi shots i managed to take, i went straight to work with the planner. Duchess of Planification was the event planner. We featured her here

Everything went so well and the bride looked gorgeous and couldn't stop smiling. I guess the feeling is similar to what we hear about childbirth... You forget all the stress once the child is born because immediately she said I DO, she just glowed all through.

The band was so nice and immediately i stepped into the venue, they started singing & calling my name "peperempeee, sugar, sugar..." well that only meant one thing, that i had to spray them with some money. Errmmmm seeing that the economy is tight right now, i sprayed them with new 100 naira notes, (for maximum effect) and stayed within my spray budget...LOL...

L-R Desola, Moi, Pastor Fola (My Pastor's gorgeous wife), Yemi, Foluke.

I met a few of my beloved readers & it was such an amazing feeling... They also made me promise i would post more often. I felt like giving them my autograph...hahahaha. Thank you for all your love and encouragement my wonderful readers, God bless you all. I couldn't take pictures with them unfortunately because my phone crashed at the wedding and that also explains the few shots i have for this post. But like they say, half bread is better than chin-chin so i wont complain.

Thanks for always reading lovies have a fabulous monday.

xoxo.
